Removing your makeup at the end of the day is essential in looking after your skin and when it boils down to this, some are lazier than others. Funnily enough, I’m one of the lazy ones. I’ve always been a ‘wipe’ girl. It’s just always been so convenient to me. Even if I do use regular liquid cleansers, I will still always use a cleansing wipe beforehand. It just feels more effective.
Today I am sharing with you my all time favourite cleansing essentials which I use on a day to day basis. I mainly use these at the end of the day to take off my makeup, but use them lovingly nonetheless.
The first product I use to remove 5+ hours of eye makeup is a hidden gem. Highly underrated, and very cheap!
I absolutely love these eye makeup remover pads! One glide over my eye lid and basically everything is gone. I use these eye makeup remover pads to remove not only my eye makeup, but under eye concealer. They remove absolutely anything, even the toughest of concealers. I have quite sensitive eyes and everything that I have tried to remove my eye makeup up until this point has failed me miserably. These bad boys are fragrance free and dermatologically approved. For 99p I cannot fault it. I can’t imagine using anything else to remove my eye makeup. I highly recommend these to anyone!
I first tried a single pack of these when they were on offer for £1.59. Since loving the Garnier Micellar Water so much I figured I’d see if the wipes would earn my love too, and I can tell you they have. They are super gentle (as the name suggests) and really soothing too. They’re great for sensitive skin and eyes since they are hypoallergenic, dermatologically and ophthalmologically tested. I find they don’t remove eye makeup as well as my trusty Superdrug eye makeup remover pads, but they’re brilliant for getting off everything else. Since trying out my first pack and loving it, I always buy the bigger value pack of fifty wipes (exclusive to Superdrug), since they are normally only £2.95 which is a great bargain!
After using the makeup remover wipes I’ll then go in with my miracle Micellar Water to further extract any dirt trying to hide in the crevaces of my skin. I am still loving this bottle of miracle water since I last reviewed it! I find it so effective in banishing bacteria to prevent my skin demons from being unleashed. After this I can finally relax with a fresh, squeaky clean face.
All of these products can be found in Superdrug in store and online (and for bloody great prices too!).
I hope you enjoyed reading about my daily cleansing essentials. I just could not live without them!
What do you love to use when removing your makeup? Are there any products worth trying?
Take care my loves,
