Collection Contour Kit | Review

Contouring is one makeup trend the beauty world will never get sick of. It’s a staple in everyone’s makeup routines and is growing ever more popular in the drugstore beauty world. Nearly every drugstore brand is coming out with a contour kit and the Collection contour kit is the latest to the family!

Whether you’re in the market for a new contour kit or just want something cheap and cheerful to chisel out your cheekbones, Collection have something that may be right up your street.

Collection have released their Highlight & Sculpt Contour Kit in addition to their affordable and well-loved makeup range and it’s less than £5.00!

I actually picked up this contour kit when it was on offer in Superdrug for just £2.79! Cheap as chips right?

This is a very handy palette for on the go or for those who are just getting to know about contouring. The packaging is sleek and compact, which makes it great for travel. On the back Collection have even featured a little diagram and guide on how to use the product! When you open up the sleek Black packaging you are greeted by the highlight shade, the sculpting shade and a little strip mirror (which I find to be pointless, but hey ho).

The sculpting shade is a light matte Tawny Brown shade, perfect for contouring. It’s cool enough to add depth to the face but it still has enough warmth to slightly bronze the face at the same time. I’d say this sculpting shade would be perfect for any skin tone up to an nc42. The highlight shade is a pale Peachy Champagne tone. Very subtle but I think it would be best suited for fair skin tones as it can tend to look quite chalky on my nc40 skin tone. You can use both of these shades lightly for a very natural looking sculpted look, or you can build it up to be intense. The product is very buildable! It does fade throughout the day but it’s still great quality for the price.

Unfortunately this contour kit takes the ‘one size fits all’ approach so there aren’t any darker versions for my Dark-skinned lovelies (check out my review of one here). The only major con.

As I mentioned before, this cute and super sleek contour kit is great for beginners of a light-medium skin tone. It is extremely affordable for those who don’t want to break the bank trying to carve out those cheekbones. You can find the Collection Highlight & Sculpt Contour Kit at Superdrug online and in store for just £4.19.

What contour kits are you loving at the moment?

Take care my loves,
