Makeup Revolution Haul!

I’ve been oggling at Makeup Revolution for a while now, especially since the uproar in the blogosphere about the Superdrug brand. Reading and reading countless posts about the brand and seeing how much other bloggers have raved about it, made me add a few things to my wishlist! The thing I’ve been beating myself up about is how incredibly cheap it is, yet I still hadn’t snatched up any products every time pay day would come! I think it’s mainly because I have had much more other products that have been on my wishlist for longer. But ah well, I have had the chance to get on the bandwagon! Which is why I am writing this post (well duh).

The first thing I actually picked up was an eyeshadow palette (which is what everyone is raving about). However, unlike the majority of the blogging world purchasing the Naked palette dupes, I decided to opt for something different.

Welcome To The Pleasuredome Salvation Palette – £6.00

This gorgeous palette comes with twelve shimmer shades, and six matte shades. They are quite pigmented and I am surprised how good of a palette it is for just £6.00! I think that this is such a versatile palette as I can imagine it looking so nice on all skintones. I just love how exotic looking it is, not just your average neutral palette. I have been using this ever since I bought it so a review will be up soon!

The second thing I picked up (without hesitation may I add) was something that I was extremely anxious to try this.

Vivid Baked Highlighter in Golden Lights – £3.00

Makeup Revolution Haul

I was so excited about this purchase. This is an amazing highlight for only £3.00 and it looks amazing on tanned skin tones. There are two other highlights in this range, however, they are suited to people of other skin tones and I wouldn’t really expect there to be more variety of highlights. I am extremely happy with this purchase, I have been wearing it every day since I have bought it. It makes me feel so glowy, even moreso than my Sleek highlight! I never thought I would prefer any highlight over my Sleek one but I am loving this at the moment!

My next purchase was not something I intended to buy at first, but after catching sight of it somewhere on the wonderful interwebz, I thought I would give it a go.

Ultra Professional Cover & Conceal Palette in Light – £6.00

I spent quite some time debating which colour to get as, although it does cater to darker skin tones (they have a concealer palette in Dark), I feel they all looked like the wrong undertone for my skin. I do find it quite difficult sometimes with drugstore brands, to find face products with a yellow undertone. However, I took the risk and purchased the palette in Light. I must say my first impressions of it- let’s just say I hated it. But after working with it some more, I actually quite like this concealer palette. Although I am only using one shade at the moment, it does give good coverage and when on, I look how I do when I wear my MAC Pro Longwear Concealer. Only difference is, the concealer palette is cream-based and is super light-weight. Which is an advantage all in all! I shall let you know how I get on with this palette in more detail soon.

The final purchase was also a random one. I know I definitely wanted a lipstick, I mean, they’re only £1.00!! Who can pass off on that? I wanted Rebel With Cause after reading a post from TR’s Thoughts. It is such a gorgeous shade! Unfortunately for me, they were sold out. Nevertheless, I thought it was a good opportunity to splash on a fun Pink shade, as I have none of these in my lip product collection!

Amazing Lipstick in Enchant – £1.00

Makeup Revolution Haul

This is a fun bubblegum Pink colour with slight Lilac hues. I never go for Pink lipsticks as I think Pink shades like this just do not suit me. However, after trying it on I really do like it, can’t wait to do looks using this! I like how similar the packaging is to MUA, with the little lipstick compartment at the top/bottom of the tube, so cute! Shame I can’t get this one open though! Haha.

That’s it for my Makeup Revolution Haul. I hope you enjoyed reading this post! Let me know if you have anything from Makeup Revolution and what you think of it in the comments below !

Thanks for reading, take care loves
