You Beauty Discovery Box – Birthday Special September 2014

Although this is my first time actually ordering a beauty box, this is not the first time I have come across You Beauty. I know I have seen a few posts from other girlies I’m following and it’s the most affordable beauty box I have seen out there. Doesn’t look too bad either! Fortunately, I caught this in the nick of time as You Beauty are celebrating their 1st birthday with this September box! I’m a bit late to jump on the bandwagon but, that doesn’t really matter.

When my package arrived I thought it would have been bigger, but I’m surprised they managed to fit everything in so compact!

You Beauty Discovery Box - Birthday Special September 2014
Happy 1st Birthday You Beauty!

I was actually convinced after a lovely girl Saira on Twitter (Hi if you’re reading this ) shared a link with me to get this box for free (Thank you so much!). Unfortunately by the time I snatched up the deal it was too late to have shared with you guys. But if I see anything like this again I’ll be sure to share!
The box is £6.95 including postage and you get to choose two items you would like from a list, the rest they pick for you. Unluckily for me, the items I wanted to pick were out of stock. I chose not to get too bummed about it though, as I was glad I could get for free.

The two items I chose were two sets of Eyeko Hydrogel Eye Patches (worth £7.50), and Mavadry Time-Save Fast Drying Nail Finish by Mavala (5ml, £6.75).

You Beauty generously provided their subscribers with a full-sized product alongside other samples:

Subscribers also received two Crabtree & Evelyn tea bags (Afternoon tea and Blackcurrant Green tea), a Hello Fresh Gift Card worth £25 and a nifty makeup sponge.

In the mini booklet/magazine provided, YBD talk about the products included in this month’s beauty box and a little description for each one. Majority of the products have a discount code for 20-25% off purchases or other deals which I think is brilliant on top of what we receive already.

I’m super excited to try the Toni&Guy Volume Plumping Whip as my hair always lacks in the volume department when straight. The smell is div-ine.
I can’t wait to try the Mavala Nail Finish too! I always struggle when it comes to painting my nails as they take so long to dry and they always end up getting smudged or indented :weary:. Hopefully this works a treat!

This originally, as I received it for free, was a good window of opportunity to see what these beauty boxes are like without committing completely. However, after realising how incredibly great it is in terms of value for money, I wouldn’t mind continuing with this subscription! I simply think this is amazing for people on a budget but are eager to discover new beauty products without breaking the bank. Love it!

I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us next.

Have you tried You Beauty Discovery? If so, what two products did you choose? If not, have I sparked your interest in beauty subscription boxes?

Let me know!

Take care for now m’lovelies,
